Still Alive!

I have no forgotten how to blog...nor have I forgotten that I have one. Lately I have just been busy and it really just hasn't been high on my priority list! Lots of things are different this school year, but the main thing is that I spend my days with 2 babies now, not just one.

This year I am watching Linley Cox...the adorable flower in the above picture. She is the daughter of a great friend of mine and Elizabeth absolutely loves having her around. I love it too, but I have to admit, I am more tired at the end of the day!

This past weekend I was in Charlotte meeting my sweet new nephew, Wyatt. He is an absolute doll and I miss him so much! I was blessed to spend some time with the whole Moore family, but I have to say I enjoyed the time with my sister the most. Nothing like sisterly love!:) Here is Wyatt Clark Moore, born October 25th.

I returned home to the beach just in time to enjoy Fall Festival with my two adorable kiddos. We obviously had a theme this year for Halloween, so I'll let the pictures speak for themselves!:)

GO GAMECOCKS!!!!!!!!!! :) Until next time my friends...no promises on when that will be!:)

Elizabeth is 2!

Yes, I know it's been forever since I have blogged. Paige (sister in law) and Lindsay (sister) remind me of this quite often....Paige even asked me if I remembered how to actually blog and was going to show me just in case!:) But I have the same old excuse...we've been super busy! And I do promise to catch everyone up, but for now I wanted to post some pictures of my sweet girl's second birthday party. We had her party yesterday at the pool but today is her actual birthday. Seems like just yesterday she was laid on my stomach, already very alert for a newborn, taking in all the new sights! Elizabeth has been a very different child than Trey....very strongwilled and opinionated....but also very sweet like her big brother! ..and her personality is HUGE! She has been a sweet blessing every day of her life and I know God will do big things in her life and mold her into the lady He wants her to be...and He will use all those personality traits (such as being very strong-willed:)) to do great things for Him! Who doesn't love a sassy lady?! Happy Birthday Baby girl!!!! We love you sooooo much!

Where my girls at?!:)

The pastor of our church here at Myrtle Beach is married to a terrific woman named Debbie, who sent this email to me. I wanted to share it with all of those who check my blog often, or those who just stumble upon it. I wish I had understood the idea behind this email as a younger Christian, but I am so glad Jesus is slowly teaching me all about it now! I used to think that there was no way God could forgive me for all I have done in my life and my sins were just too big for him. Constantly this idea of "if I was really a Christian, I wouldn't do things like that or think things like this" was coming into my head and drawing me farther away from the TRUTH. I'm not sure why I thought that once I became a Christian, I would never sin again, but for some reason that was basically my thought process. But the truth is, I do sin and I'm not worthy of His forgiveness, but He has given it freely to me! No, I don't deserve it, but when God looks at me, he sees Jesus....and Jesus is totally worth it! I am not perfect, my flaw are so visible....and as a Christian woman, I'm not claiming to be living a life without fault....exactly the opposite.....I am full of sin, full of weakness, full of failures, I am a HOT MESS! But Jesus loves me and that's enough to get me through this day and take his grace with me on to the next day... to try again to have a heart like Jesus!.....I love you all!

BEAUTIFUL CHRISTIAN SISTERS
'A woman's heart should be so hidden in Christ that a man should have to seek Him first to find her.'
cid:image001.jpg@01CA3224.5CA6D7D0

When I say that 'I am a Christian,' I am not shouting that 'I am clean living.'
I'm whispering 'I was lost, but now I'm found and forgiven.'
cid:image002.jpg@01CA3224.5CA6D7D0
When I say 'I am a Christian,' I don't speak of this with pride.
I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.
cid:image003.jpg@01CA3224.5CA6D7D0

When I say 'I am a Christian,' I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.
cid:image004.jpg@01CA3224.5CA6D7D0
When I say 'I am a Christian,' I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.

cid:image005.jpg@01CA3224.5CA6D7D0

When I say 'I am a Christian,' I'm not claiming to be perfect.
My flaws are far too visible, but God believes I am worth it.

cid:image006.jpg@01CA3224.5CA6D7D0
When I say 'I am a Christian,' I still feel the sting of pain.
I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name.
cid:image007.jpg@01CA3224.5CA6D7D0
When I say 'I am a Christian,' I'm not holier than thou,
I'm just a simple sinner who received God's good grace, somehow!

I met Dabo!

Many of you know that college was a interesting experience for me....filled with many different colleges! For those of you who don't know, I went to four colleges....Name 'Em!:) Baylor, Clemson, University of South Carolina, and finally I graduated from Texas Tech! GO RED RAIDERS!!! But a little part of me still remains loyal to all the schools I went to, except Baylor....I hated that place!:) Last Wednesday, we had the chance to go to the FCA banquet here at Myrtle Beach. Guess who the guest speaker was....That's right!!!! DABO SWINNEY!!! I wasn't particularly excited until I had the chance to meet him afterwards. I get so excited to meet semi-famous people....if you haven't heard about my encounter with Michael Jordan, ask Bobby or Leslie, and they can fill you in!:) This was pretty similar in that I could not stop talking about it and even got his autograph (or autergraph as Trey says it).:) On the farthest left is my friend Christopher Bradey....we actually had a class together my first semester at Clemson and have met up again here at the beach! He is probably the biggest Clemson fan I know and we were excited to have him, his fiance, and two other new friends join us at the banquet...I guess you could say we made their dreams come true. HAHA or not:). Anyway, enjoy the pictures!

Children's Museum

Elizabeth had a ball at the Children's Museum. Other than being grossed out by Elizabeth eating the bubbles, Mama had fun too!

Snow at the Beach!

We were so excited when it started snowing Friday night! We all bundled up and went outside that night, just in case it decided to melt before we had a chance to play in it the next day. The pictures aren't great because it was dark, but here is the front of our house. (obviously:) haha Just felt the need for a caption here). Trey and Elizabeth had soooo much fun. Trey loved to get everyone with snow balls, and Elizabeth was just amazed at the stuff falling from the sky. It was a ton of fun to see the kiddos play.

Standing on the Tree

Today at school Trey had to stand "on the tree" as punishment for getting in trouble last week at school. He really dreaded this for some reason, so Bobby told Trey that at exactly the same time Trey was standing under the tree, he would stand under one too. So, we captured the moment!:) What a good Dad!

Ski Trip

This past weekend we went on a ski trip to Boone NC with some of my family on my mom's side. My aunt Alane found us a beautiful cabin to stay in for the long weekend and we had a great time! Trey got to try skiing and ice skating for the first time and Elizabeth got to see snow for the first time and give sledding a try. I ice skated with Trey, but did not ski because I needed to help him out. He ended up in ski school because it is not my calling to be a ski instructor. :) I would have to say the best part of the weekend was relaxing in the hot tub with Peggy, Alane, Leslie, and Mandy. Just us girls! It was such a fun weekend and we hope to do it again next year!

Crazy Cousins

They love a good football game, and they love each other! We had such a good time when our nephews spent the night at our house. These boys are hilarious, full of energy, and always up for a good time! They went outside and played a long football game with Bobby....Trey and Will obviously decided they wanted to be "skins" even though it was VERY cold outside. Boys will be boys!:)

I love this picture of the 4 of them....Joey and Josh are growing up, but they still make time for their younger cousins, who adore them. Trey already misses all of them and we are counting down until their next visit. I think Josh makes me laugh harder than anyone has in a long time....Miss those Musiol Boys! :)

My Dad.....

.....is a pretty funny guy!!!!:) My parents came to visit for my birthday and as we sat down for dinner, I remembered I needed to get my Dad something to drink. So, I strategically picked out this cup for him, just so we could all get a good laugh. (BTW--Someone Bobby worked with at UNO gave him this cup....he was really well liked there!:)) Dad was a good sport as you can see, by posing so nicely for the picture....love you, Dad!:)

Happy New Year

Since I'm pretty sure I'm not going to make it 'til midnight, I wanted to wish my few readers a Happy New Year! It's always exciting to have a new year begin and feel like we can have a fresh start. We can start all over with our slate wiped clean....especially if we know Jesus! Love you all and here's to a great 2010!:)

Almost the new year

In 5 days, I will be 27. In a week, it will be a brand new year. I've been doing some thinking.....dangerous I know:).....about some changes/improvements I would like to make for the new year. So, in no particular order, here is my list of "new year's resolutions".
1. Exercise more and eat better. (this has to be on every woman's list)
2. Pray more and have a more consistent quiet time.
3. Stop worrying about things I cannot control.
4. Have a good attitude even during times that are hard and when things don't seem to be going my way.
5. Serve others with a grateful heart.
6. Tell those I love, that I love them because you never know when they might be gone!
7. Teach my kids more about Jesus and how great His love is for them.
8. Get organized, and keep a cleaner house!
9. Learn to cook.
10. Basically, I need to get "domesticized". hahaha.... is that a word?!
11. I could go on and on and on about things to work on....but I'm going to just start learning to accept the Grace that was so freely given and give myself a little break here!:) Merry Christmas and Happy New Year my friends!:)

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas from my family to yours!  Hope everyone is enjoying this time with family and friends.  We are having a great time out here in Pawley's Island.  Even though it is only 25 minutes from our house, we feel like we are on a vacation because we've been staying at Grandma's and Grandpa's house for about a week.  Trey and Elizabeth are having so much fun with their cousins and we don't want them to miss a minute of spending time with them.  Elizabeth does her best to keep up with the big girls and Trey and the boy cousins play a mean game of kickball everyday in the driveway.  Of course, the biggest kids (Bobby, Mark, and maybe me...:) get out there and join in on the fun too!
I love this time of year....for a lot of reasons, but most of all, it is exciting to teach my kids that on Christmas, God gave us the greatest gift of all....His son.  I know at their young age they may not realize the magnitude of this, but I pray that one day they will.
I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas!:)....and a Happy new year!!!

Best of Both Worlds

I definitely have the best of both worlds....a very boyish boy and a very girlie girl. Trey is on his way to the Tennesse/South Carolina game, and Elizabeth is at home with me trying on her costume. (Her room is a mess because she just loooovvvvves to take all her clothes out of the drawers. I love it too. NOT.) Trey is having a ball with his cousin Will, and I'm sure Bobby and Mark are in Football Heaven. Elizabeth and I will be hitting up the fall festival at our church later. Have a happy day everyone!
